ACUPUNCTURE FOR HEALTH & WELLNESS

Acupuncture is a natural way to help restore your body to its purest state of health and wellbeing. If you are new to acupuncture, you might be surprised at the amount of time and attention your acupuncturist provides during your sessions, particularly during the health intake. Every issue you have, no matter how large or small, is another piece of the puzzle, and the diagnostic process involves extensive questioning to help put YOUR individual puzzle together. Unlike other types of medicine, acupuncture is geared towards getting to know you on every level. 

Once your acupuncturist establishes your diagnosis and treatment plan, hair-thin needles are inserted into very specific points. Whether it’s stress, chronic pain, insomnia or anxiety (or endless other conditions!) these small needles promote changes to shift the symptoms that are preventing you from living your best life possible. 

Along with the insertion of needles, treatments may include cupping and/or tuina if it best serves your condition. 

 

Cupping is a technique that has been around for centuries. Glass cups are suctioned onto the skin which improves circulation to the area to help promote healing. It is typically used for musculoskeletal pain as well as to help release toxins from the body. 

Tui na is a form of Chinese medical bodywork. It can be used to improve the overall energy of the body or can be used on specific areas of the body for musculoskeletal pain or tightness.
